It's easy to fall into a trap, for all you do is use coupon after coupon and you may soon find that you are buying items that you really have no use for. The one thing you want to do when you're using any type of coupon, if you want to really learn how to use coupons to save money, is you can start with the obvious; yes, saving money on groceries. The easiest way to begin is to start looking at the weekly ads for your area grocery store or supermarket. You don't necessarily have to start using coupons yet, just look through the weekly ads circulars and look for the buy one get one free deals. Usually, on the weekly sales ads, you will find 10 to 15 buy one get one free items you can actually use. From there, don't move on to coupons just yet, look at the other weekly specials on the circular and look and see if you can fill out a shopping list with all the items that you would like to purchase.
Make sure that you are listing only items that you will use; it makes no sense to buy 20 macaroni and cheese boxes when in fact just one person in your household might be eating something of that sort maybe once every two or three weeks. Here's where you can really learn how to save money with coupons; once you have the weekly circulars and the sales items listed, then you can move on to the coupons themselves. Look for the manufacturers coupons in the Sunday paper. Now, a lot of people, what they do is they get the Sunday paper for themselves and they ask their neighbors to let them have the manufactures coupons that come along with the Sunday paper because usually the next-door neighbors don't really like to use coupons anyway. did you know that only 5% of the population actually uses them? So from here, we're using a triple shot; the weekly ads, the sales items, plus the Sunday newspaper coupons. Using just these three combined you should be able to save quite a bit of money on your very first shopping trip when you visit a Publix,Piggly Wiggly, Winn-Dixie, or any other grocery store. You will quickly learn how to use coupons to save money fairly quickly with this method!
